Why This Adobe Event Was Exciting!
I get super...I mean ridiculously excited when I hear about Adobe. Adobe products are a graphic designer's addiction! We cannot function without them. So when I found out St. Edward's University, my school, was having Paul Trani come speak to us about Adobe, I knew I had to be there.
Trani gave a lot of insight into how Adobe was evolving moving into the future of their products. One of the things that I found interesting was when he talked about how important creating content was becoming to them. I actually noticed that Adobe was beginning to make their own tutorials based around their products which is something that lacked in the past. The way that most people would learn new skills was by watching YouTube tutorials from other people who may not have been experts in the program but they knew how to answer a specific question you had in a 10-20 minute video.
Adobe took advantage of this by having their certified instructors create content that was for beginner to professional designers that wanted to use the program in an interactive way. One new thing that Trani talked about was the integration of tutorials into their programs which actually guides people through how to use tools so that they can learn how to use them effectively as they work on projects for work or school.
Things That Blew My Mind
Variable Text: This new feature made me literally do the mind blown expression during the presentation. I mean look at how freakin' easy it is to change the weight of the text by just scrubbing to your desired text weight! *mind blown*
Color Fonts: Trani talked about all these new fonts that are available to users. The one above is one of many awesome selections that you can choose from to make your next project get glowing reviews! Look at how beautiful that typeface is...*mind blown*.
Artificial Intelligence: Trani also walked the audience through the different ways that artificial intelligence will play a key part in Adobe products. He showed how AI would be able to color in illustrations and "fix" pixels to enhance an image. I can definitely see how AI will take some creative jobs once this technology advances over time. *mind blowwwwwwwn*
Future of Adobe Products and Services
I really like how much Adobe is taking into consideration the experience of the user! I mean all of these amazing new features are bound to make it easier for designers for the years to come to learn new skills and make their jobs more efficient. I cannot wait to see what is next for Adobe because they are taking over the creative world and I am not mad about that one bit. (:
